Five Years On

Tempus fugit:

By Richard Romano
Published: August 22, 2013

Tempus fugit: the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) is celebrating its five-year anniversary this month. And in those five years the organization has certified 52 facilities in the U.S. and Canada, with a recertification rate of 95%. It has also become the gold standard for the commitment to environmental sustainability in the printing industry. Anniversary festivities are planned for Print 13 next month, as well as RILA’s Retail Sustainability Conference, and the SGIA Expo in October—and will kick off with a celebration at SGP’s first certified facility, Minneapolis, Minn.’s Pictura Graphics. The traditional fifth anniversary gift is wood. Best make it FSC-certified.
