As they say, “take only pictures and leave only footprints.” As for the former, the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) has announced that they are now accepting entries for the 2013 SFI Forestry Photo Contest, open to professional, amateur, and pro-am photographers. Awards will be given in six categories:
  • Biodiversity
  • Conservation (must be on SFI certified land)
  • Scenic Forests (must be on SFI certified land)
  • Harvesting (must be on SFI certified land)
  • Community
  • SFI-labeled products
The winner in each category will receive a $300 gift card and his or her winning image posted on the SFI’s Web site. The contest is free, and is open to all individuals. To qualify, photographs must have been taken between March 2012 and March 2013 (and no Photoshopping allowed!). Deadline for entry is April 5, 2013.
