Perhaps you missed it, and I’m shocked, shocked, that you did, but Saturday was “Save the Frogs Day,” now in its fourth year, apparently. Amphibians like frogs and toads have been succumbing to environmental degradation more than for 20 years and it’s been estimated that about one-third of the nearly 6,500 species are on the verge of extinction. A fungus has largely been responsible, but deforestation, wetlands loss, climate change, pollution, and other anthropogenic factors don’t help. So, for your Monday morning entertainment, here are some cool pictures of frogs.
