Via piworld, over on The Fold Factory Web site is a “60-Second Super-Cool Fold of the Week.” While the “60-second” video runs 2:29, it does demonstrate, via a Montréal design shop called KAKEE, an oft-overlooked aspect of environmentally conscious design and printing: using folds in clever ways to convey the same amount of information eligibly and strikingly while at the same time using fewer materials. Not all “green” initiatives need to be high-tech, after all.
