Portland, Oregon’s Premier Press is not only the latest printing company to have achieved Sustainable Green Printing (SGP) Partnership certification, but it is the first West Coast printer to have done so. The impetus for pursuing SGP certification was, the company says, from its larger clients’ own sustainability requirements. “Sustainability is desirable, feasible, and necessary,” says Jodi Krohn, CEO of Premier Press, in the SGP’s press release. “Our path forward confirms to our customers and the business community that sustainability is an opportunity, not a liability. With SGP Certification, we are excited to continue the process of making our environmental footprint even smaller.” Furthermore:
The offset printing department at Premier contains a wide array of presses, from small format to 40″ 6c and 8c UV. The use of UV ink technology allows for sharper image clarity and color intensity to enhance the finished product. Its wide format printing department has multiple hybrid UV presses that can print on a variety of substrates, from standard vinyl to 1.75″ rigid materials. The onsite bindery and warehouse offer finishing and mailing solutions for all projects.
Congratulations to Premier Printers and kudos on taking this big step toward going green!
