Very impressive and very cleanly and clearly articulated.

As stated in the interview XMPie offers uDirect Video, but it addresses a different market segment.

We do not expect a marketing services agency or Print Service Provider, who wants to expand their reach and offer video, to be able to offer Video Solutions of the type that SundaySky does. Our goal is to provide our customers with technology that will allow them to create solutions for their customers; these solutions are of different flavors relative to the typical capabilities that SundaySky, being a technology and services company, can offer.

We all "play" in the Video Professionalization market space, but we learn that it has many complementary and not necessarily overlapping sub-segments.

Regardless through, the solutions and technology that SundaySky brings to market are top notch and inspiring.

The use of the LEGO Blocks metaphor to explain the rational for developing foundation technology for specifying dynamic videos is close to our hearts. Years ago, while still at Scitex, with my team we created Scitex VPS -- a language for specifying variable data print jobs that is based on objects re-use. The LEGO Blocks metaphor was one I reached-for and used in order to explain the meaning and benefits of VPS over the forms-based VDP languages that were the "norm" in variable data printing prior to the creation of Scitex VPS.

Thanks for the comment, Jacob. You are correct, these solutions serve two different markets. Although the folks at SundaySky indicated to me that their solution is focused on larger businesses, I know that many printers in our community support larger businesses, and while they themselves are not large businesses, perhaps there is still an opportunity to access the application on behalf of their larger clients.

Meanwhile, you are absolutely right. As with any software selection, the most important thing is understanding customer requirements, and then finding the solution that best meets those requirements.
