Great post Dr. Joe and ll true.
The issue most small business owners have with the entire tax discussions can be summarized in the following points:
1. We don't need more taxes to fuel the necessary programs everyone is concerned about.
2. How about we have oversight and eliminate the waste in every governmental department - remember the GSA Las Vegas trips...
3. The size of Government has grown significantly and the average pay of a governmental worker has increased significantly over the years when in most cases they are at the top of average pay levels for the average american worker group
4. Benefits and retirement provided for government workers is killing us...I live in California and it is going to drive state government into bankruptcy
5. If the government payrolls don't reflect the changing landscape of America no matter what they tax rate we can meet the growing level of need for the programs, waste, payrolls, benefits and retirement programs that continue to grow at a record pace year-over -year.
Let's correct those issues and then we can actually discuss what level of taxation's needed to fund a more treaty based government entity.
