A lesson to be learned is to never steal from an ad agency.

In Auckland, New Zealand, a thief stole 15 transformers from advertising agency OTW, worth about $5,000. A passerby saw the thief, thought he was acting suspiciously, and snapped his photo. The ad agency, backed by the police, took the photo and made several billboards out of it. Says the news article: "Mr Venter [principal of the agency] says he already has had dozens of calls over the billboard, and they are getting closer to identifying the man. The billboards will stay up until the police make an arrest."

I guess this is where "crime doesn't pay" meets "It pays to advertise."
