Nintendo and Fujifilm have partnered to bring a new online photo service to market in Japan. The new service will enable users of Nintendo's popular Wii video game console to order prints of photos uploaded to their console. InfoTrends has more:

The so-called "Digital Camera Print Channel" (English name still tentative) has made its launch in Japan. Japanese Wii owners will be able to use the channel to order digital photo prints (currently only available in 89 x 127mm sizes). The channel can also be used to order original “Wii Photobooks” (English name still tentative), which are available in several versions (including Wii character-themed books).

"Wii Name Cards" (English name still tentative) are also available to Japanese consumers. These are like business cards, and can be printed with a photo or a Mii using a choice of six templates (including Super Mario series characters).

If previous novelty custom printed products like Moo Cards provide a benchmark. I would predict this new offering to be highly popular.
