In answer to the question, "did Andy have a crystal ball or insider info?" The answer is a crystal ball or I am good at guessing. Memjet never indicated that is had any major OEMs or gave me any idea of the direction any OEM would be going.
It will be very interesting to see just which direction Delphax will go and what the configuration and pricing of their press or presses will be. It will also be interesting to see how Memjet develops in terms of adding pigment inks and increasing the head life of the print heads.
